En la Cape Epic van a todo dar “a tope”, en una de las carreras más difíciles del mundo en parejas que se hace en tierras Sudáfricanas.

Nuestro compatriota Leo Páez con su compañero Max Knox del equipo Kansai Plascon se sitúan en la cuarta posición a más de 11 minutos de la punta y que en la cuarta etapa perdieron la carrera por un pinchazo de Max, lástima porque les hubiera servido para meterse en la pelea para disputar el podio. Terminada la cuarta etapa los líderes de la carrera son: 1. Manuel Fumic (alemania) y Henrique Avancini del Cannondale Factory Racing, 2. Nino Schurter (Suiza) y Matthias Stirnemann (Suiza) del equipo Scott Sramm Racing, 3.Cristoph Sauser (Suiza) y Jaroslav Kulhavy (República Checa) del equipo Investec Songo Specialized y 5. Nicola Rohrbach (Suiza) y Daniel Geismayr (Austria) del equipo Centurion Vaude 2.

La pelea esta interesante ya que los tres primeros tienen una diferencia de 2 minutos y un poco atrás el cuarto y quinto pero en estos terrenos todo puede pasar todavía hay mucho camino que pedalear. (ver tabla de clasificación.
